Masters Degree. Yes or No?

Deciding whether to pursue a master’s degree depends on your career goals. If you want to work in specialized fields like counseling, therapy (MFT), or clinical psychology, then yes, a master’s is essential to meet licensure requirements. On the other hand, if you’re interested in roles like case management, research assistance, or working in mental health organizations, you might be able to start your career with a bachelor’s and gain experience first before deciding on grad school.

In short: If your dream job requires a license or specialization, a master’s is usually a must! If you’re unsure, gaining some hands-on experience can help guide your decision.  Psych Degree Coach is here for you – we are here to help you navigate the next steps to your dreams.
